Carmen was born in Magrath, Alberta. She grew up in Ottawa, Ontario. Her involvement with her children resulted in her being active in the Mississippi Hunter/Jumper Association, a board member of the Mississippi Metropolitan Ballet Company and board member of the International School in Saudi Arabia. As an enthusiastic baker, she opened a bakery while living abroad.
Ultimately Carmen, her husband and children moved back to Southern Alberta. Her experience relocating many times with her own family has given her a deep understanding of the importance of finding the right home for a family.
When she is not working, Carmen enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loves travel, art, museums, dance and tolerates the gym.
